The tours are run by independent local operators, the Islanders who know these waters and roads. This page is the formal record of who stands behind the site and how to reach us. What Island Tours is
Island Tours is an online marketplace that connects travelers with independent local tour operators. The tour itself is provided by the operator, not by ITG B.V. The contract for the tour is concluded between the traveler and the operator. ITG B.V. provides and operates the platform, facilitates the booking, and collects the deposit. The full description of these roles, and of the payment models, is in our Terms of Service.
Payments
Payments made through the platform are processed by Site Bar B.V. (Netherlands) as merchant of record, on behalf of ITG B.V., through Stripe. For this reason, a charge on your bank or card statement may appear under the name of Site Bar B.V. We will never ask for your card details by reply email, text, or phone. Always pay only through the secure links in your booking emails.
Our representative in the European Union (data protection)
ITG B.V. is established outside the European Union. For matters concerning the personal data of travelers in the European Union and the European Economic Area, we have appointed a representative under Article 27 of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679):

Supervisory authority
The supervisory authority for data protection in Curacao is the College bescherming persoonsgegevens (CBP), under the Landsverordening bescherming persoonsgegevens (LBP). If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent national data protection authority under Article 77 of the General Data Protection Regulation. Consumer disputes
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@island.tours and we will try to resolve it with you. If we cannot resolve it, you may be able to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution body or to the consumer authority in your country of residence. We are not obliged to use a particular body and do not commit to one, but this does not affect your right to use any scheme available to you or to bring a dispute before a competent court, and consumers in the European Union and the European Economic Area keep the mandatory protections of their home country. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available. Our full dispute-resolution terms are in our Terms of Service.
Content and trademarks
The content of this website, including its text, layout, graphics, and logos, belongs to ITG B.V. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property rights. Island Tours and the Built by Islanders tagline are names and marks we use for the platform. Tour descriptions, photographs, and other material supplied by operators remain the responsibility of those operators. Traveler reviews and other user content are governed by our Terms of Service. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse the content of this website without our prior written permission, except where the law allows.
